The developer Nexon has opened the doors for the pre-alpha test of Vindictus: Defying Fate, as we were anticipating a couple of weeks ago, they did it within on the Steam Spring Sale.

Vindictus: Defying Fate is a fantasy RPG inspired by Celtic mythology that invites us to face violent and bloody battles against monsters. Developer Nexon said “Its an adrenaline-packed action game, currently in pre-alpha phase, where every clash is a symphony and every step a dance with fate.” They invites users to “plunge into a dark and intense odyssey, where you will face formidable opponents and navigate a 3D world full of mysteries and dangers.”
Inspired by the creatures and monsters of Celtic mythology, prepare for epic encounters that demand not only strength but also cunning. Learn to adapt, anticipate, and attack your enemies to overcome their legendary prowess in battle.
According to the company, each battle is a test of skill, strategy, and reflexes, as you will face enemies that dwarf your stature, providing you with an unmatched sense of challenge. Each character is unique, not only in appearance but also in weapons and combat style, allowing you to choose the experience that best suits your style.
Some Familiar Characters
Fans of the 2010 MMO Vindictus will fondly remember Lann and Fiona, two of the beloved characters returning for a new gameplay experience. Fiona is a versatile fighter armed with a long sword and shield, ideal for players who prefer a more defensive gameplay style, while Lann is a dual-sword wielding battler whose quick reflexes allow him to dodge attacks and quickly counterattack his opponent. Players can play through the build with their choice of Fiona or Lann, exploring regions based on concepts of the primitive world, as well as trying out various emotes and outfits.
