Pokemon Scarlet and Violet: Where to Find Bronzor

The pairing of both the Steel and Psychic typing offers a fantastic balance of attack and defense. In the entire Pokedex, there are only seven Pokemon to have this typing and only two of them are available in the newest Pokemon games. These are Bronzor and its evolution Bronzong. Here’s our guide on where to find Bronzor in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.

Note: We’ll have a Pokémon Scarlet and Violet guides and features hub coming soon, so stay tuned.

Where to find Bronzor in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

Bronzor can be found across various ruins scattered throughout Paldea. There are seven different ruins that you can find Bronzor at, with most located in the bottom half of the map. Bronzor will only spawn within these ruins so it is fairly unlikely you will encounter it without going out of your way.

The level of the Bronzor you encounter will vary slightly based on which ruin you choose. On average you can expect Bronzor to be encountered between levels 15 and 20. To evolve Bronzor into Bronzong in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet you will need to train it to level 33.

Once you encounter a Bronzor it won’t be very difficult to catch. Bronzor has a catch rate of 255 which is the highest possible in Pokemon. That means even if you just throw an ordinary Pokeball at full health you will still have a 44% chance of catching it. Due to this, it’s best to throw balls straight away and not bother dealing damage.

Those looking to catch a Bronzor for competitive gameplay in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet will want to make sure Bronzor has the Levitate ability. Of Bronzor’s three abilities Levitate is the best as it provides immunity to damaging ground-type moves. Without Levitate both Bronzor and Bronzong are weak to common ground type moves like Earthquake.

Pokemon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet can be purchased on the Nintendo Store.
