Palworld Sells a Colossal 15 Million Copies on Steam in Just One Month

In just one month of its launch, Palword has seen a massive number of players. 15 million copies were sold on the platform Steam, while Xbox saw another 10 million players. The game has been increasingly stacking up copies sold since it launched into early access on January 19th. The growth has been phenomenal, gaining a major 6 million in just 4 days of launch.

One major reason why Steam might be seeing more players for Palworld than the Xbox version is that the Steam version has dedicated servers that can accommodate up to 32 players at a time. So far the Xbox and Windows PC versions (which are available through Game Pass) don’t have the option for dedicated servers making online co-op limited to two to four players. At the moment there is also no crossplay between the Xbox and Steam platforms but this is in the plans.

Cooling Down

The fanfare for the game has somewhat died down a bit since its Mammorest launch, which is the usual cycle for games. There is a set amount of content players can currently explore in the game and if you’re not really interested in crafting a utopia, moving on to another game until more content arrives is normal. The developer themselves have commented on the matter calling the argument about declining numbers “lazy”.

New Pals, Islands and More – Roadmap

But don’t be Depresso, as developer Pocketpair last month revealed some of their goals for the game through a roadmap which includes adding PvP, Raid Bosses for endgame content, a Pal Arena, crossplay between Steam and Xbox plus addressing the critical issues. There are also new Pals to be introduced, new islands, bosses and further technologies. The roadmap doesn’t give an actual timeline for when these additions will come to the game, but there seems to be plenty to look forward to.
