What’s new on Xbox and Game Pass this week?
What’s new on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One this week? What new games are heading to Xbox Game Pass? Is it looking like a better week than the last few we’ve all suffered?
While the number of new releases is still quite low, the quality is certainly picking up as we head toward the end of the traditionally dry January.
For Xbox Game Pass subscribers, it’s a bumper week with not one, not two, but three big RPGs hitting the service within the span of a couple of days.
Persona 3 Portable and Persona 4 Golden will both release on January 19th, marking a big occasion for fans of the franchise. What’s more is that both will be joining the Xbox Game Pass library on release day, meaning old fans will be able to jump back into their favorite series at no cost, and those who’ve yet to sink hundreds of hours into the world of Persona can do so without having to risk any cash upfront.
Another big release this week is Monster Hunter Rise for Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One. Originally released last year as a Nintendo Switch and PC exclusive, Capcom‘s brand of open-world magic lands on Xbox consoles on January 20. And, just like the two aforementioned Persona games, Monster Hunter Rise will join Xbox Game Pass on day one, meaning no up-front cost.
