A slow week on the eShop.
What’s new on the Nintendo Switch this week? What new games will be joining the legions on the Nintendo eShop? Er, not many, to be honest. And if we’re being completely honest, it’s actually quite a poor week for new releases on the Nintendo Switch, and were it not for Hogwarts Legacy, it’d be even poorer still on the other platforms.
Sadly, Nintendo Switch players won’t be eating at the feast in the Grand Hall of Hogwarts of the Sorting Hat divvies up the fresh blood to the four houses. For Switch players, (wizarding) school is out until July as that is when Hogwarts Legacy will release on Nintendo’s platform. Quite why a Cloud Edition couldn’t be released is up for debate, so we’ll just have to make do with the handful of new games on offer.
There’s very little to get excited for this week, unless, of course, you enjoy deck builder games, in which case Tuesday’s Nadir: A Grimdark Deck Builder might be worth a look. If you’re a fan of sims then Prison Tycoon: Under New Management might be an ample way to wile away the hours. For racing fans there’s the oddly titled Youmandrive, which gives players a bunch of cars and endless roads to drive on. It’s been out on Steam since last year but only has three user reviews. On the plus side, they do at least seem to be positive, so there’s hope that Youmandrive might actually be a good driving game for the Switch.
While it may be a slow week, there are, of course, plenty of games on sale on the eShop. So, if you’re struggling to get excited about the list below, you should at least be able to find a decent bargain from the back catalog.
