What’s new on the PlayStation Store this week? What blockbusters and hidden gems will be joining the thousands of games already available on PS5 and PS4?
Well, it’s looking pretty good, at least when compared to the last few weeks which have been nothing short of absolute stinkers in terms of new releases.
Skull & Bones may be delayed again, but pirate fans wanting to sail the seven seas of skullduggery and mischief can set sail in Tortuga: A Pirate’s Tail this week. Coming from German strategy specialist Kalypso, Tortuga: A Pirate’s Tale is a new tactical strategy game that puts players in the sea-worn boots of a pirate captain. Players will be tasked with making a name for themselves throughout the Caribbean by commanding a fleet of pirate ships and hunting down that sweet, sweet treasure.
If the high seas aren’t for you, then there’s always the expansive open lands of Monster Hunter Rise which is releasing this Friday on PS5 and PS4. Released last year on Nintendo Switch and PC, Monster Hunter Rise is finally releasing on other home consoles, widening the player base and hopefully securing the future of the franchise.
It’s a big week for Persona fans as Atlus is releasing Persona 3 Portable and Persona 4 Golden on PS5 and PS4. The former, Persona 3 Portable, is of particular interest to fans as it was originally a PSP exclusive, and up until now, has not been available on any modern platforms.
Below is what’s coming to PS5 and PS4 this week, though there’s every chance a couple more new releases could slip their way onto the PlayStation Store. If anything else does get a release this week, we’ll come back around and update this post.
