Naga Munchetty was joined by her BBC Breakfast co-star Charlie Stayt for a Comic Relief special. The pair joined other news anchors and presenters as they read out cringeworthy jokes. Naga was left confused as Charlie attempted to explain the punchline to her.

Comic Relief returned for 2023 and it featured sketches based on The Traitors and Eurovision, with some huge names appearing as guests.

Mary Berry, Danny Dyer and Jamie Dornan were just some of the stars to appear during the show, which took place in Salford.

Prince William also featured in a video appeal, during which he met homeless people who have been helped by Comic Relief.

Elsewhere, Kylie Minogue featured in a charity Ghosts sketch, whilst Blackadder star Sir Tony Robinson read a bedtime story as the character Baldrick.

“What’s a Shih Tzu?” she asked herself as she mulled over the pun.

As the penny finally dropped, she gasped and lifted her hand to her face.

“Now I get it!” she laughed and was adamant it took her a while for the joke to land.

Good Morning Britain’s Richard Madeley also took part in the sketch.

Eurovision fans were offered a treat during the show as two tickets for the Liverpool final were given away by Eurovision presenters Scott Mills and Rylan Clark.

Graham Norton, Lulu and last year’s UK Eurovision entrant Sam Ryder played a mock judging panel looking for the next UK star to enter the competition.

The Traitors sketch featured the likes of Jennifer Saunders, Stephen Merchant and Rosie Jones, with a twist as Dawn French took on Claudia Winkleman’s host role.

In the sketch, Dawn French posed as Claudia as she addressed the round table full of potential traitors.

While mocking some of Claudia’s most famous traits, she spoke to all of the contestants who were wearing hooded cloaks.

Alison Hammond was the first to reveal herself along with Ellie Simmonds and Ewan McGregor.
