Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak has introduced loads of new content into a game that’s over a year old, including new monsters, new weapons, new armor sets, new gear for your buddies, and of course, some brand new locales for you to explore. There are two entirely new areas included in Sunbreak, and these new environments contain a bunch of secrets waiting to be found.
In this guide we’re breaking down where to find Sub-Camp locations in the Jungle and Citadel maps in Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak. Sub-Camps allow you to fast travel across the map when not in combat and easily resupply your items. The more Sub-Camps you have, the safer you’ll be on hunts. Here’s how to find the new Sub-Camps added in Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak.
Jungle Sub-Camp location – MHR: Sunbreak
The Jungle only contains a single Sub-Camp, but it’s well hidden, so you might never see it if you don’t keep your eyes open when exploring the world.
In order to find this Sub-Camp, travel to Area 3, in the Northern part of the map. In the bamboo forest here, just South of the large pool of water, look at the cliff face and you’ll see a line of Golden Spiribugs leading up the cliff to a small area on the right. Follow them up. Walk into the clearing and you’ll have located the Sub-Camp.
Return to Elgado Outpost to collect the Sub-Camp Side Quest, and then you’ll be tasked with culling the local Small Monster population. Easy.
Citadel Sub-Camp location – MHR: Sunbreak
Citadel is an icy and frigid new environment, at least it is in the mountainous Northern sector. That’s where you’ll find this location’s single Sub-Camp, too, hidden away in the mountains.
For this Sub-Camp, head to Area 4. You’ll see a long line of vines coating a wall to the North that you can scale. If you check your minimap here, you’ll be able to see a small chamber poking out of the Northern wall here. Stick to the wall and you’ll find the path inside. The large chamber is your Sub-Camp location, while the path leading off from it houses a collectible Relic.
As with the last Sub-Camp quest, you’ll need to return to Elgado Outpost to collect this, then you can cull some Small Monsters in order to unlock this Sub-Camp.
