Maya Jama will front the ITV2 show for the second time this year as the Summer series of Love Island kicks off.

10 brand-new islanders will be heading into the Spanish villa where they will attempt to find love and take the crown from previous winners Kai Fagan and Sanam Harrinanan.

The line-up for the latest series was unveiled on Monday, May 29 with 26-year-old Mitchel Taylor being one of the new islanders.

The gas engineer from Sheffield branded himself as a “gentleman” who was tired of playing the field and felt like it was time to settle down with the right person.

He also admitted he was keen to get married and have kids, explaining: “I don’t want to play the field anymore, I want to find the one”.

However, when the first image of Mitchel was first revealed through social media, many fans flocked to their own accounts to compare Mitchel to former stars of the show.

Taking to Twitter, @nwjsminji_ commented: “It’s giving Luca and Andrew.”

@Anthonytheicon2 added: “Omg Luca 2.0????.”

@catrinavfc penned: “Why does he remind me of Luca.”

@EllieDaisy11 said: “Luca and Andrew 2.0.”

@hemalii_s noted: “BTEC Luca GET OUT OF HERE.”

@vikreality teased: “First Ronald and Casey, now it’s Luca and Andrew’s kid.” (sic)

Luca Bish and Andrew Le Page both starred in last year’s Summer series of Love Island, with the pair both making it into the final.

Luca left the villa with Gemma Owen, but their relationship quickly took a negative turn and the pair ended up splitting shortly after they left.

Andrew left the villa with his current girlfriend Tasha Ghouri despite having a turbulent and drama-filled experience in the villa.

This year, the series will kick off with a line-up twist leaving the public to decide who they want to pair up with.

Usually, the islanders will decide for themselves who they want to get to know, but votes open on Thursday, June 1 at 8am, voting for free on the Love Island app.

Love Island begins on Monday, June 5 from 9pm on ITV2.
