Killua Voice Actress Mariya Ise Shares Her Hype With Artwork

The cast of Hunter x Hunter is just as hyped and moved as any other fan when it comes to the manga’s serialization resuming, with the seiyuu Megumi Han and Mariya Ise both tweeting manga art of Gon and Killua reflecting their feelings.

You heard the news by now, on May 24, Yoshihiro Togashi created a Twitter account and teased he’s working on Hunter x Hunter again. Seeing he made a Twitter account, this could mean we’ll get slightly more frequent status updates for future Hunter x Hunter chapters, though this is only speculation on my part. Togashi did not say when the chapters are releasing either, so we shouldn’t get too ahead of ourselves.

Mariya Ise (Killua) and Megumi Han (Gon) Each Share Manga Artwork of Their Characters on Twitter

Soon after Togashi’s tweet started going viral and was confirmed to be authentic, Megumi Han and Mariya Ise both shared iconic artwork from the manga. The two seiyuu (Japanese voice actors and actresses) started voicing Gon and Killua with the 2011 anime remake. I’m sure I don’t need to point this out, but it’s incredibly common for female seiyuu to be voicing male characters in Japanese media.

First, Mariya Ise tweeted a famous panel from chapter 294 with Killua crying. Nearly at the same time, Megumi Han also shared a famous Gon panel, from chapter 305. Both tweets have garnered over 70,000 Likes in a few hours.

It’s great to see the anime’s cast are sharing the same emotional moment as all the HxH fans around the world. Whenever the new Hunter x Hunter chapters are done, an official announcement will be made regarding their release schedule in Weekly Shonen Jump magazine. We’ll be sure to let you know when.

Nowadays, magazines like Shonen Jump are always leaked a few days in advance, so announcements included in magazines like new series or serialization resuming are leaked before the magazines themselves are officially released. This actually isn’t a very good thing for the industry as a whole, but that’s another story.

In any case, the facts are, Togashi is currently working on manga, meaning his health has improved and he’s feeling well enough to be working, which is incredibly good news.
