ITV has sparked a backlash from viewers after the broadcaster announced it was pulling This Morning, Good Morning Britain and Loose Women from its TV schedule.

The programmes have been dropped for the Women’s Fifa World Cup.

This Morning and Loose Women will not air on Thursday to make way for Australia’s match against The Republic of Ireland.

The action will kick off directly after Lorraine Kelly’s show at 10:15am and will run until 1:30pm.

Good Morning Britain will also be affected by the changes, with the popular programme being pulled from the TV schedule on Friday.

On Monday, the Loose Women Twitter account confirmed the show’s changes.

It read: “As the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup kicks off this week, there will be some slight changes to our usual schedule. Here are all the details you need for this week…”

@kirstyfionaaol1 fumed: “No way.”

One viewer shared: “OMG I’M DEVASTATED!” (sic)

BBC and ITV are set to share TV coverage of all 64 World Cup games including England’s clashes with their Group D rivals Haiti, Denmark, and China.

The Lionesses will play against Haiti on July 22 with the game kicking off at 10.30am UK time.

This will be followed by a July 28 clash with Denmark at the Allianz Stadium in Sydney.

This Morning and Good Morning Britain returns on Tuesday at 10am and 6am on ITV.
