It turns out that Ark Survival Ascended is available on Xbox Game Pass on April 1, 2024! This isn’t an April Fool’s joke! Hop in now and hunt for all 10 Artifacts on The Island.
Just because a game comes to Game Pass doesn’t mean it’s available on every platform. Some Game Pass games are only available on PC while others stick to consoles. Ark Survival Ascended is playable on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and Cloud. Unfortunately, it’s not available on Xbox One which is probably due to it running in Unreal Engine 5.

Ark Survival Evolved was a great game, but Ark Survival Ascended takes the franchise to another level with updated graphics and smoother gameplay. One huge detail that makes Ark Survival Ascended worth playing, besides the fact that you can try it through Game Pass, is that every DLC expansion, including Scorched Earth, is free.
The same day that Ark Survival Ascended hits Game Pass is the same day that the Scorched Earth DLC becomes available to all Ark Survival Ascended players. Whether you’re on Steam or Game Pass, everyone can play Scorched Earth for free.
That’s a huge update from Ark Survival Evolved! While Ark Survival Evolved does have free DLC, many of the core expansions, including Scorched Earth, Aberration, Extinction, and Genesis weren’t free. Ark Survival Ascended is an investment in more ways than one, especially when you’re looking to build at the best base locations in The Island.
