A reunion of the cast of the BBC drama Hustle has sent fans wild, with many wondering if the show is making a comeback.

Hustle, which was about highly-skilled professional con artists, was last on screens in February 2012.

However, one of its leading actors Matt Di Angelo shared a snap of the cast reunited on Instagram 11 years since the finale aired.

Sharing a picture alongside Adrian Lester, Kelly Adams and Robert Glenister, Matt wrote: “We’rrrrreeeee Baaaccckkkk.” (sic)

Dozens of fans commented on the post hoping the drama will be revived by BBC bosses.

Richie penned: “Sorry, what? I would honestly scream if Hustle came back in any fashion.”

@makingthedreamshappen shared: “Omg this picture makes me so happy. Bl***y love hustle.” (sic)

Reece added: “Please come back, I’m always watching repeats of Hustle. Best programme ever.”

Meanwhile, a fan called Greg said: “Wow, hustle is back? I hope so as I love it!”

A user called @marnamoss remarked: “Please tell me that isn’t a joke!” (sic)

@authorpsbridge commented: “Oh Matt, yes! Please say another series. We’ve just introduced our 13-year-old to the series and she loves it.”

The show launched back in 2004 and it followed a group of fraudsters who targeted the rich and greedy in a bid to earn big money.

However, if the BBC show does return, fans could miss actor Robert Vaughn who played Albert Stroller as he died in 2016.

Express.co.uk has contacted the BBC for comment on the series.

All eight seasons of Hustle are available to watch on BBC iPlayer.
