December 7th when the Lego collab releases for Fortnite may feel like a journey away. Yes, there are many players at the moment trying out the new modes and items that come with this expansion. If you want to join in the fun before your friends, check out below on how to play Lego Fortnite early.

Fortnite: How to play the Lego expansion early

While people are playing early, that doesn’t mean you can play before anyone else. At the time of writing this, the only people who can jump into Lego Fortnite right now seem to be content creators and other industry insiders. In other words, you’re going to have to wait till December 7th to play. As a games writer myself, I’m bummed out that I’m not a part of this group. However, I can wait.

On the other hand, there seems to be another way to join the fun early. According to a Reddit post, Discord bots are giving away access to Lego expansion. I would not recommend doing this at all. Mainly because you open yourself up to having your Epic account banned. Even if you’re able to get in early, on December 7th you may not be able to get in because of cheating the system.

If you wait, you not only save yourself from the headache of trying to get your account back, but you can also get a free Lego Skin — provided you do the following steps.

Good things come to those who wait

If you tough it out by waiting, it’ll be worth it. Fortnite Lego will have a bunch of new things to do on top of the skins to buy and earn. There’s a new open-world-based survival mode, which to me sounds very appealing. Getting your account banned because you can’t wait doesn’t seem to best course of action because you can miss out on what may be one of the best experiences in gaming.

As mentioned, I don’t mind waiting till then since I do enjoy Lego, and when it’s in one of the most popular games today, there’s only an upside.
