Counter Strike 2 like its predecessor on the surface may look challenging to get into, however, thanks to the many game modes, it might be accessible to all. The modes are for a wide variety of players, so you may find something you like. Thanks to having different ways to play CS2, the game may have longer legs than the first entry. But, the shooter feels very much like a different game as well. With all the updates in the graphics and how it’s played, one can tell Valve has up the bar for themselves. One mode that has been a favorite over the years is called Gun Game. Naturally, it feels like it could work in CS2’s new meta, however, you may find what Valve has done a little interesting. In Counter Strike 2 Gun Game (or Arms Race) is not a featured mode at launch for reasons unknown. If you’re a veteran of the shooter, this may leave you with a bad taste because it was a fun mode to play. Many fans of Counter Strike have taken to Reddit to complain about this omission, and in this case, it does seem to be justified. On top of that, it looks like many maps that have been leaked are missing as well. So for the moment, Gun Game isn’t available, but it could play the same way when it returns. Will Gun Game make an appearance? 

If I were a betting man, I’d assume Valve will slowly push out more content as time goes on. Because many of the aforementioned maps that are leaked are maps for Gun Game. So, while the mode isn’t present at launch, you can safely assume it’ll appear down the line. Currently, Valve is dealing with the many issues plaguing CS2. So it may be a while until we see the mode in the sequel. For now, you’ll just have to make do with what’s there.
