How to lower World Difficulty level in Wuthering Waves: SOL3 Phase, explained

0

Don’t let the enemies across the world in Wuthering Waves bully you. Here is how to lower the World Difficulty level and SOL3 Phase in Wuthering Waves.

What is SOL3 Phase in Wuthering Waves?

SOL3 stands for Solaris-3, the world of Wuthering Waves. The different phases you can set SOL3 will determine the difficulty of enemy fights along with their levels, the different game modes you can take part in, as well as the drop rate of the different items and currencies in the game. The higher the SOL3 Phase, the more difficult the game will get and the fiercest the Tacet Discord (TD) enemies will get.

Wuthering Waves: How to lower World Difficulty

The SOL3 Phase – and therefore, the World Difficulty – is automatically increased every 10 Union levels you get. In levels 20, 40, and 60, your character will need to complete a special quest to ascend the SOL3 Phase. While it is impossible to increase the Phase of Wuthering Waves past your current Union Level, you can lower it by accessing your Terminal – that is, Menu – and then locate the SOL3 Phase “i” button. You will be prompted with an option to lower or return to your current SOL3 Phase, which you can only do once every 12 hours.

Wuthering Waves Lower Sol3 Phase

The big question is whether you should do this or not. Well, it depends. If you have your characters locked behind an Ascension barrier that requires a higher SOL3 Phase to progress, then lowering the world difficulty is not the best thing to do. However, if you are having trouble with the challenges unique to each SOL3 Phase, then lowering it would make sense, although it will take more time to get in shape since rare item drops will also lower. In general, I will always attempt to play the game with its highest difficulty activated, with the best characters in your team composition.
