Once you unlock the Spearfishing skill, you’ll be able to grapple enemies and pull them towards you. But how can you successfully grapple larger enemies in Another Crab’s Treasure when they decide to fight back?

Another Crab’s Treasure: How to grapple larger enemies

With this skill unlocked, you can use a Barbed Hook to grapple enemies and pull them towards you. But if the enemy is larger than you it can put up a fight, leading you to a small mini-game of tug-of-war. You can grapple larger enemies in Another Crab’s Treasure by pulling in the opposite direction of the enemy.

Not only can you level up your stats in Another Crab’s Treasure, but you can unlock useful skills as well. If you don’t win within the span of a couple of seconds of using the Spearfishing skill, you fail to pull the enemy towards you. This also wastes a Barbed Hook, although you can purchase them from the Pawn Shop or find more throughout the open world.

All you have to do is pull your analog stick or mouse in the opposite direction that the enemy is pulling. The enemy’s position is dictated by the fish icon, and if it’s red you’re not pulling it. If the fish is on the left side of the arch, pull to the right. This can get tricky as it’ll move around a lot, so keep on your toes and once it stays green for a little bit you’ll succeed.

You’ll successfully pull the larger enemy towards you, even knocking them on their back. This gives you the chance to lay a few good hits on them before they get back on their feet. I’m unsure if this works on big bosses since they’re quite large and possibly unable to be pulled.

Luckily, you can unlock another skill that allows you to pull yourself to the enemy instead. Not only can you unlock skills for more abilities, but you can increase your Stowaway capacity too.
