How to Get the Vessel to Leave the Injection Room in the Red Salon in Vampire: The Masquerade

During the Red Salon mission of Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong, you’ll be tasked with getting a vessel to leave the Injection Room. Here’s what you need to do.

First, it’s important to know that there’s several parts to figuring this one out. Getting the vessel out of the Injection Room in the Red Salon in Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong is one of the trickiest puzzles in the game. But once you’ve found all of the relevant bits of information, it’s straightforward enough.

First, you’ll need to talk to the three vessels (that’s humans, to you and me) stood near the painting in the Red Salon’s main bar. They’ll tell you that one of their friends, Clarice, is refusing to leave the injection room.

How to make Clarice leave the Injection Room

To leave, she needs Trajax – a drug that makes her blood tastier that she’s developed an addiction to. Okay: so you know you need to somehow get Trajax to her. But it needs to be the right type, and the right amount, or else it could kill her.

The next thing you need to do is gather clues about Trajax. Head to the manager’s office; you’ll find a door shooting off the second room in the Red Salon. In there, you’ll find two computers and a couple of weird-looking dispenser machines. Look at the computer on the central desk; on there, you’ll find a list of vessels and their ‘types’.

Clarice, the vessel you need to make leave the Injection Room, is a ‘Phlegmatic’. Look under the specific notes for types, and you’ll see that Phlegmatics need Trajax MG.

So now we know what type of Trajax to give Clarice. But how much? Still in the manager’s office, head over to the other PC, that’s set up as a security monitor. On the desk is a book. In it, it describes how many doses a vessel needs depending on their state.

You can talk to Clarice by interacting with the security monitor. You’ll see she’s very delusional. According to the book, that means she needs two doses of Trajax MG before she feels good enough to leave the room.

How to get Trajax MG in Swansong

To get Trajax MG, you need to head down to the basement of the Red Salon. There’s a swipe key on the main bar of the club; pick it up and add it to your inventory. You can then use that key to open the “staff only” door in the second room.

Go through the door and take the elevator down to the basement. It’s a fairly big area, but wander around and you’ll find what looks like a server room. There are a series of fridges, each with different types of Trajax stored in them. Open the one labelled ‘Trajax MG’ and two two. Use the machine on the wall to send them up to the office.

Finally, we’re almost there. Go back to the manager’s office, and interact with the dispenser machine connected to the basement. Here, you can pick up the two Trajax MG vials you’ve just sent up.

Next, interact with the second machine. This allows you to send the Trajax to Clarice in the Injection Room. You’ll need to do it twice, once for each vial. You can talk to Clarice via the camera system if you like.

And that’s it: once you’ve sent the Trajax, the vessel will leave the Injection Room in Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong. As soon as you walk out of the Manager’s Office, a short cutscene will kick in where you see Clarice leaving.
