There is a plethora of options when it comes to your choice of weaponry in Resident Evil 4 Remake. From Shotguns to Pistols to heavier weapons, like Rocket Launchers, you’ll never run out of options. One of the easier weapons to get is the Red9, a powerful pistol that can come in handy in a pinch.
The Red9 is outclassed by many other weapons in the game, but because this weapon doesn’t have to be purchased and can be found in a relatively easy-to-reach area, it’s worth grabbing as soon as possible.
Red9 Location
The Red9 is located in the middle of the lake where players fight Del Lago in Chapter 4. Shortly after completing the encounter with the giant lake monster, players will be given the ability to roam the lake, and its surrounding shores, using the motorboat. There are lots of things players can do when they are given the ability to explore using the boat, but finding the Red9 is among the easiest. The Red9’s location can be seen on the map, as it sits in the center of the lake and will be marked by a Treasure symbol when players get near the site.
Players simply need to drive here, board the crashed boat, and retrieve the gun from a container at the front of the ship. This container does not require any puzzle-solving or keys to access its contents, so it isn’t extremely difficult to get ahold of aside from traversing the area. If the wreck in the middle of the lake is not spotted by players, they can travel due north of the Boat House to find its location.
Red9 Stats
The Red9 isn’t the best weapon in the game by any means, but it is a decent pistol, even when compared to one like the Blacktail. It suffers from a low Rate of Fire and Precision, but it makes up for it in its Power and Ammo Capacity. The downsides can also be mitigated with things like the Red9 Stock. The Specs can also be increased by tuning-up the weapon at the Merchant’s shop when he is available.
