LEGO Fortnite is an adventure survival game, where building and creativity is encouraged and enabled through the systems and items. But with construction, comes destruction. Here’s how to get Blast Powder in LEGO Fortnite.

Getting Blast Powder in LEGO Fortnite

In LEGO Fortnite, Blast Powder is crucial to build all the fun toys, namely the Boom Barrel. This highly-explosive barrel is loads of fun to use, although it is a little expensive, costing 3 Blast Powder to construct. If you are to have fun playing the game, then I’d highly recommend building one just for the sake of it.

Blast Powder can be found in two ways in LEGO Fortnite. You may find it in chests or llamas dotted around the world, or you can fight for them. It does take some effort, but a single night-time expedition is all that’s needed to get your hands on lots of Blast Powder.

Blast Powder doesn’t drop from every enemy. They seem only to be an occasional drop from minifigure enemies. That is, no monsters or skeletons or strange creatures. You’ll have to fight the numerous enemies that look similar to you. Be they vagabonds or pirates, in each cluster of enemies, at least one should drop some Blast Powder.

Preparing for battle in LEGO Fortnite

To properly face such foes in LEGO Fortnite, you’ll need to be prepared. They aren’t too tough, but that’s only if you properly prepare for them.

Follow this checklist if you want to be able to take on numerous sets of these guys to come back home with a whole load of Blast Powder:

  • A Shield
  • 3 Swords (they break very easily)
  • A Recurve Crossbow with at least 5 arrows
  • Cooked Food, preferably Cooked Meat
  • 3 Charms of your choice, equipped
  • An NPC companion

If you have that checklist followed, you’ll be quite the force to be reckoned with! These enemy clusters typically spawn in fours, and one will be ranged. So you’ll have to be smart to fight strategically to take them all down.

I’d recommend immediately shooting the ranged enemy with your crossbow, to get them out the picture. Nothing is more annoying than a ranged enemy constantly shooting you when you’ve got company.

The rest of the enemies can be easily dealt with as long as you have your shield raised when they’re on the attack. You should be able to dispatch one foe at a time before having to raise your shield again.
