How to get Weapon Mods in Ripout
You can find Mods during missions, and they are identifiable by a purple marker. These items come in 2 flavors: Weapon Mods and Support Mods. Support Mods provide buffs like Increased Crit Chance, while Weapon Mods dramatically alter how your gun functions.
If you fancy testing your luck, you can win Weapon Mods from the One Armed Bandit machine. You can find this gambler’s best friend upstairs on your ship. The machine takes Goranium Components, and the price slowly increases the more you play. The issue is this currency is used for crafting, and spending it all can be a terrible waste of resources.
I love throwing all of my hard-earned Goranium Components into games of chance, but it’s not always practical.
Weapon Mods can also be earned as Mission Rewards, so make sure you check what’s on offer before you depart.
How to make Weapon Mods in Ripout
As with Armor, any Weapon Mods you receive are Schematics and must be built before use. You can make Mods at the Crafting Station, where all their required materials are displayed. If you’re short on items, you can try the ‘Conversion’ tab, although it’s usually a bad investment.
How to equip Weapon Mods in Ripout
Once you’ve built your Mods at the Crafting Station, use the nearby Weapon Station. You can equip your loadout for the next mission on this table, including your Weapon and Support Mods. Once these are built, you can swap them out as you see fit.
What is the best solo Weapon Mod in Ripout?
The best Weapon Mod will come down to personal preference, but starting as a solo player, you can’t go wrong with the Assault Rifle. If you’re alone, you need versatility, which you won’t get with guns like the Shotgun and Long Gun.
The Shotgun is great in Ripout, but getting up close and personal without support is asking for trouble. You’ll have the opposite problem with long-range weapons. The Long Gun, for example, is great if you can keep your enemies at bay, but you’re at risk up close.
