In Palworld, you’ll soon begin to wonder how you can sail across the ocean and the seas to reach far away lands. Early on in Palworld, Surfent will be the one to help you with this monumental task. You just have to catch one first.
Surfent Habitats in Palworld
Surfent doesn’t exactly get around, and spawns in only a couple specific locations. The world is not teaming with these Pals, and they seem to prefer their specific habitats. So if you’re after a Surfent, you’ll have to travel for them.
They are somewhat abundant in the habitats in which they spawn, although there won’t be loads of them. So if you want to capture one, you’d better be careful not to actually kill any of them! You’ll have a limited number of chances.

How to catch Sufent in Palworld
You’ll want to be careful when trying to capture Surfent, as you’ll only have a limited number of attempts as not too many of them spawn. I would suggest having the Crossbow, preferably the Uncommon Crossbow, if you’re trying to capture them, as it does decent damage without killing them. Have the Metal Spear as a back-up in case you need to do even less damage to whittle it down.
The Surfents that spawn are over level 10, so you’ll want some metal armor and a shield to prevent you from getting killed in the process.
Make sure to bring Giga Spheres when catching Surfent, as any lower quality Pal Sphere will have a dramatically low catch chance. So instead of throwing 1,000 Pal Spheres, just make some Giga Spheres. I would recommend you bring at least 20, so you can try to catch 10 for the EXP bonus you’ll receive for the first ten caught of any type.
Surfent only drop Pal Fluids, which have much easier methods of acquisition, so try to catch them every chance you get instead of killing them. You’ll get the Pal Fluids either way.
I would recommend you bring some Mega Spheres and Pal Spheres with you, as you’ll probably encounter a lot more new Pals that you can capture. A Pal Tamer must always be prepared for new faces.
