Dante is the latest Warframe and part of the Dante Unbound update. The best thing about Warframe updates is all the shiny new toys to play with. As always, you can get Dante for free, so let me show you how to farm Dante parts in Warframe.
How to get Dante in Warframe
There are a couple of ways to get Dante, but if you want to earn him for free, you must be up to date with the Story. Any Tenno who wants to farm Dante parts must have completed the Deadlock Protocol solo quest and the Whispers in the Wall main story quest.
Assuming you’ve completed the quests, you can access the Armatus node on Deimos. This node is a Disruption mission and functions similarly to other Disruptions in the Star Chart.
Disruption is an “endless” mode in which waves of enemies swarm the map. Some of the tougher enemies drop Keystones. Take these to the matching Conduits around the map. The round will end once you’ve collected all four.
You can extract after each round, but Dante’s parts can only drop on round four (Rotation C). In Warframe, different loot pools depend on the “Rotation” you’re on. The Rotation order is always A, B, A, and C for every endless game type.
As endless modes become more difficult the longer you play, most players will leave after Round 4 as there’s no advantage to staying longer. The drop rates for Dante’s parts are pretty low at the following values:
- Neuroptics 5%
- Chassis 5%
- Systems 5%
- Blueprint 7%
As the rates are so low, earning every required part this way can take multiple hours, but there is a vendor that can help.
Can I get Dante another way?
Enemies on the Armatus node will infrequently drop Vessel Capillaries. You can spend This unique currency with Loid at the Sanctum Anatomica node on Deimos. You can buy all of Dante’s parts with Loid for the following amounts:
- Neuroptics: 90 Vessel Capillaries
- Chassis: 90 Vessel Capillaries
- System: 90 Vessel Capillaries
- Blueprint: 270 Vessel Capillaries
I typically get around 70 Vessel Capillaries from four waves of Disruption on Armatus, so it will still take at least eight runs to get enough to buy Dante outright. It’s a good idea to save your currency until you can buy every part in case you get lucky with your drops.
Can I get Dante if I haven’t completed the Whispers in the Wall story quest?
If you’re a new or returning player, you can still get your hands on the new Warframe. Dante can be purchased from the in-game Market for 350 Platinum. If you acquire Dante this way, you’ll also skip the three-day wait to construct the Warframe and the additional day to make each part.
Warframes purchased with Platinum also include a free slot and a pre-installed Orokin Catalyst. Orokin Catalysts double a Warframes Mod Capacity and are essential for tackling tougher content on the Star Chart.
Dante can also be purchased in the Market for real currency as part of the Dante Chronicles Pack. This is the most expensive way to acquire the Warframe, but it has added weapons and cosmetics. Keep in mind these extras can be earned in-game at no additional cost.
