How To Complete The Viper Hunter Request

0

Resident Evil 4 Remake players will have plenty of Requests to work through as they embark on their quest to save Ashley. Requests work similarly to quests in most other games. Players will be given a small task and, once completed, will be rewarded with Spinels that can be used to buy valuable items in the Merchant’s shop.

The Viper Hunter quest is one that players will be able to complete pretty early on in the game, appearing in the Village area, but it can be confusing at first. If you’re having trouble tracking down enough Vipers to sell in the game, this guide can help.

Request Overview

The Viper Hunter Request will ask players to collect and sell three Vipers. Vipers can be found in several different locations in the game, but there are a few surefire ways to get this Request completed with ease. It is important to note that players do need to sell the Vipers for the Request to be completed, so if any Vipers are collected, be sure not to consume them for their healing properties.

Request Location

The Request can be found during Chapter 3, just after players make their way through the Town Hall in the Village Square area. Since this is still pretty early in the game, players may not know to keep an eye out for this Request. The Request’s blue sheet can be found just in front of the Merchant’s shop in the area and won’t be easy to miss since its blue color stands out pretty heavily from its surroundings.

Viper Locations

The Vipers can be confusing to find at first, especially if players are trying to complete the Request as soon as possible without moving on. There are a few guaranteed Viper spawns listed below, as well as a Viper farm for players that don’t have the required amount by the time they reach the Quarry area.

Viper #1

The first Viper can be found inside the Town Hall in the Village Square area. This is a box that players will have passed on their way to accepting the Request, so they may already have this Viper in their inventory. If not, they should head back into the Town Hall and find the box pictured above. It is located to the left just as you enter the building from the Village Square. Once the box is broken, a Viper will emerge and attempt to strike Leon. The Viper will move around the floor/area, so if it’s not spotted right away just continue searching.

Viper #2

The second Viper that can be found easily is located along the path in between the Church and the Quarry area. This wooden path holds a building, and inside the building is a box that can be broken to reveal a Viper. This Viper can be tricky to spot once the box is broken as it will slither around the area. This walkway is made of wood and stone with ledges on either side, so players may not spot the Viper right away. Once the box is broken, be sure to look inside and outside of the building to find the creature.

If players have not gotten enough Vipers before they reach the Quarry area, then there is no need to worry. The Quarry is crawling with the animals, but in the water and on the wooden platforms dotted around. There will be quite a few enemies in the area so be sure to clear them out before beginning the hunt for a Viper. Search in the water and at the edges of the inclines that lead to the wooden platforms and there is sure to be a Viper or two.

Once all three Vipers have been killed and collected, players can travel back to the Merchant’s shop to turn in the Request and receive their reward of four Spinels.
