How to challenge an Olympian boss at an altar in Fortnite

Fortnite Chapter 5, Season 2, has us facing off against the gods themselves. If you want to get your hands on some of the best loot this season, you are going to have to challenge an Olympian boss using their altar in Fortnite.

How to start a boss fight using the Olympian altars

To begin the fight for victory in Fortnite, you will have to go to one of the four boss locations around the map. Each of the various bosses will drop different loot. If you want to grab some of the best weapons, you will have to challenge the Olympian boss using their altar. The boss’s locations and their weapons are as follows.

  • Hades – The Underworld in the Northwest of the map. Mythic Harbinger SMG.
  • Zeus – Mount Olympus found in the Southeast of the Fortnite map. Thunderbolt of Zeus and Mythic Huntress DMR.
  • Ares – Found in the far southeast of the map. Mythic Warforged Assault Rifle.
  • Cerberus is found at the Grim Gate, located Northwest of the centre of the Fortnite map. It has a Mythic Gatekeeper Shotgun.

You can distinguish the altar you are looking for in Fortnite by its golden glow. The altars have the corresponding Olympic god standing on top of them. Most of these altars are found right in the middle of the various boss locations listed above. When you find the altar of the boss you want to fight, simply approach it and press the interact button. This will throw the statue to the floor and anger the gods.

Once you have located the corresponding Olympian boss altar in Fortnite, you need to activate it to begin your fight. However, be aware that this is no easy battle and will require skill and firepower to win. I recommend going in with a squad and a decent loadout, including some shields. It is also highly likely you won’t be the only one at the altar trying to defeat the Olympian god.
