The fourth and final season of Netflix’s Umbrella Academy adaptation won’t air until August–but you don’t have to wait that long to delve into the complete story of a misfit band of superheroic siblings. The comics that inspired the Netflix adaptation are currently on sale in The Umbrella Academy Box Set, which Amazon is offering for $32.07–which is 43% lower than the normal list price. And beyond that price cut, Amazon is also offering individual Umbrella Academy books in hardcover format for great prices, alongside the Blu-ray editions of the streaming series.
The Umbrella Academy Box Set includes the three main volumes of the story in paperback format: Umbrella Academy: Apocalypse Suite, Umbrella Academy: Dallas, and Umbrella Academy: Hotel Oblivion. It also includes an exclusive double-sided poster. The box set retails for $56, but while it’s on sale, Amazon has knocked $23.90 off that price.
If you’re not familiar with The Umbrella Academy, it’s the story of seven superpowered siblings who are brought together by an eccentric inventor, created by My Chemical Romance front man Gerard Way. The story begins with a strange event–43 children are born to mothers who seemingly weren’t pregnant until the moment they went into labor. Inventor Reginald Hargreeves sets out to find as many of the kids as he can, and ends up adopting seven of them, turning them into the titular Umbrella Academy. After a childhood of training their powers, the story picks up with the group 10 years after they’ve disbanded, with Hargreeves’ unexpected death.
Amazon has more than just the box set on offer. You can also snag You Look Like Death: Tales From The Umbrella Academy Vol. 1, which compiles the first six issues of the Tales from The Umbrella Academy spin-off series. That book is on sale for $11.49, down from the usual cost of $20.
