On May 23, 2024, Hyundai Mobility Japan unveiled a collaboration commercial featuring its new EV, the IONIQ 5 N, and the anime series Ghost in the Shell SAC_2045. The first installment, titled “Ghost in the ‘N’,” is available now, and the second one will be released on June 3, 2024.
The “Ghost in the ‘N’” ad showcases the main character Motoko Kusanagi driving the IONIQ 5 N at high speed. The teaser film is supposed to show the EV integrated into the futuristic world of the anime.
The second film will feature a car chase involving Tachikoma and members of Public Security Section 9, including Batou and Isshikawa. While Motoko is the driver in the first video, this is apparently not going to be the case for the second. The initial teaser will apparently reveal an unexpected driver of the IONIQ 5 Nt.

From June 3-22, 2024, a hands-on collaboration event will be held at SHIBUYA TSUTAYA in Shibuya, Tokyo. The event will be open from 10am to 8pm JST.
The official website is now live. The next Hyundai IONIQ 5 N Ghost in the Shell SAC_2045 video will appear on June 3, 2024. Ghost in the Shell SAC_2045 is available on Netflix.
