Genshin Impact’s Version 2.7 delay means weekly compensation packages

0

Genshin Impact is facing a pretty major delay, as HoYoverse had to indefinitely delay the next version of the game likely due to Covid lockdowns in Shanghai. The company didn’t specify what caused the delay, nor did they say how long it would last. As a result, the Genshin Impact developer will release weekly compensation packages until it can get the next version up and running. Hopefully, this makes the wait for the update a little less painful.

Each week, players will receive a package of 400 Primogems, a Fragile Resin, seven Hero’s Wit, 16 Mystic Enhancement Ores, and 120,000 Mora. They will continue to distribute this package until Version 2.7 arrives. HoYoverse also stated, “if the period between the 2.7 update and the previous weekly compensation for the delayed update is less than a week, the final weekly compensation will be adjusted accordingly.” That is to say, if Genshin Impact Version 2.7 drops in the middle of the week, players will get fewer rewards from the compensation.

Compensation for all

Players have to have Adventure Rank 5 in Genshin Impact to receive the compensation, and they must claim their compensation before the end of Version 2.6. The first compensation package will go out on May 11 through the in-game mail. The compensation mail will expire 30 days after HoYoverse sends it out, so if you’re taking a break from the game as a result of the delay, you should still log on occasionally to claim the rewards.

Version 2.6 still has a little bit of content for players to enjoy while waiting for Version 2.7. HoYoverse extended the Kamisato Ayaka banner for the remainder of Version 2.6, so players who haven’t been able to get her have some time to add her to their rosters. Additionally, there are some events in the pipeline, such as Spices of the West and the Traveling Merchant.
