Genshin Impact update 3.0 livestream date announced

Fans of Genshin Impact should take half an hour on Saturday, Aug. 13, 2022, starting at 8 a.m. EDT to watch the livestream for update 3.0 of the popular action role-playing game. In it, the developer will, as usual, provide information about the content that players can expect in the fresh game version. During the show, they will also unveil temporarily active promo codes that provide free in-game resources like primo gems.

As usual, you can find the livestream on the official Twitch channel for the game.

Genshin Impact 3.0: What to expect

Update 3.0 for Genshin Impact might be one of the biggest updates the game has ever received: The first part of the brand-new Sumeru region with fresh gameplay mechanics appears, bringing a seventh element into the game with the Dendro power. Numerous characters are also waiting in the wings to advance the game’s main story as the Traveler follows clues to another Fatui plot.

The first Dendro characters, Tighnari and Collei, should appear in the banners for version 3.0, and Electro character Dori will probably debut in the second half of the update. Reruns may be in store for Zhongli, Ganyu, and Kokomi – so save as many primo gems as you can, because you’re going to need them.

Rumor has it that Tighnari will be added to the game’s standard banner after the end of version 3.0, but this has not been officially confirmed yet. What is getting more and more solidified, however, is the suspicion that update 3.0 will run for a shorter time than usual, because Hoyoverse wants to celebrate the game’s two-year anniversary with version 3.1 – probably a patch centered on celebratory events in Mondstadt.

The livestream will have answers to such questions.
