A brand new content update has hit Fortnite Battle Royale. Following last week’s major patch, Epic has returned with a much smaller update for Spider-Man fans. The latest Fortnite update adds Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse content to the item shop, as well as Web-Slingers to the actual game. To coincide with the release of the upcoming Across the Spider-Verse movie, the Web-Slingers have been given a brand new look. Players can also complete challenges to unlock a new lobby theme, which is taken from the Spider-Man movie.
Fans can pick up the Web-Shooters by visiting Spider-Gwen and exchanging bars. They can also be found on the ground throughout the map.
Epic Games explains more: “Spider-Man’s Web-Shooters are back in Battle Royale with a new Miles Morales look and are now called the Spider-Verse Web-Shooters!
“Find them from the ground or exchange bars for them from Spider-Gwen.
“Keep them handy for the Week 11 Quests in Battle Royale — most of these Quests reward XP, but one rewards the Silk & Cologne (EI8HT version) Lobby Track, which features a song from the upcoming Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse film!”
You can take a look at the new items below.
Needless to say, Epic has also added new items to the in-game shop, including the Miles Morales outfit.
The Miles Morales costume comes with the masked Earth 1610 alternative style, as well as the Spider-Verse Portal Back Bling.
There’s also a Spider-Man 2099 outfit, which can be purchased alongside the reactive 2099 Web Cape Back Bling.
Epic is selling the outfits individually and with matching accessories as part of the Spider-Verse bundle.
As an added bonus, the Spider-Verse bundle comes with the MEGA City Swing Loading Screen.
