Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1 is finally upon us. We said goodbye to the old map and were introduced to an entirely different and new one. Not only that, but Fortnite is now running under Unreal Engine 5.1 which makes the competitive multiplayer game look as gorgeous as ever.
Along with the new weapons, gameplay mechanics, battle pass, and map also come some new and old NPCs you can visit during matches. These characters can give you items that will prove to be beneficial in any scenario you may find yourself in. With there being 16 different NPCs you can pay a visit to, these will help you out more than others.
10/10 Aura
At the very top of the map in the snow biome, you’ll find Aura there waiting for you. While she didn’t find any treasure while everyone was out in space, she did however come bearing gifts. If you ever need a quick pick-me-up, Aura sells two Chug Splashes.
What’s even better is that she has five in stock meaning you can purchase a total of 10 splashes. It helps out a ton especially if you need some quick shields and can’t find any. You can also recruit her to be a part of your team.
9/10 Frozen Fishstick
If you want to talk about someone who isn’t a fan of going out of space you have Frozen Fishstick. While he may not be too friendly with the moon, he certainly has no problem with you. You can find him wandering around a lake which is west of Brutal Bastion. Much like Aura he too also sells Splashes, however, he has the spicy kind.
These give you a bit more kick as they not only give you a shield, but make you run faster. He also sells a shield keg as well. Considering that he’s made of ice it makes sense that he’s a master at defense.
8/10 Raptorian The Brave
With the release of Chapter 4, Primal Bows also came back to the island. It looks like Raptorian The Brave was able to get his hands on a couple. In this case, he sells the Primal Flame Bow. If you’re interested, you can locate him south of Anvil Square.
If you end up dropping in Anvil Square, considering that everything is almost made out of wood, it wouldn’t hurt to pick one up and set everything ablaze. You’d be amazed at how much destruction one bow can cause. Plus, you can hire Raptorian The Brave to come along with you if you feel lonely.
7/10 Helsie
Helsie is one of the newest addition of characters added to Fortnite. With her being a battle pass skin, it’s nice to see her involvement on the island. She’s located northwest of Faulty Splits discussing all things about hunting vampires.
She sells an epic Thunder Shotgun which is the perfect weapon to have especially if you’re just dropping. Whenever you find Faulty Splits packed with players you can always take a detour to visit Helsie. If you want a vampire hunter on the squad, you can purchase her services as well.
6/10 Sunflower
We’ve all had moments where we find ourselves completely out of healing items and need some badly. At Frenzy Fields, Sunflower has your back as she sells the Chug Cannon. What this cannon does is it not only heals you, but it gives you shields as well.
Due to how much of a game-changer this weapon can be, it takes up to inventory slots instead of one. It’s pretty pricey, but it’s more than worth it in the long run. Sunflower also sells impulse grenades which can help you traverse the map faster. She really helps you be a vital asset if you decide to play with a team.
5/10 Scrapknight Jules
Did somebody say boom? No? Well, Scrapknight Jules did. In Faulty Splits you can find her in the blacksmithing area selling an RPG, which has also been added back into Chapter 4. It goes without saying that you can cause some serious harm to whoever crosses your path, if you hit your shots of course.
Scrapknight Jules also sells jump pads that you can use if you need to take a break from the action and take a breather, or if you need to get away from the storm. Both of the items that she sells are amazing so stop by and see her if you can.
4/10 Evie
Evie was introduced during Fortnite’s Vibing season and has been a great addition ever since. You can find her located south of Shattered Slabs walking in or around a blue house. Considering that she is far away from all the more high-density areas, it’s nice that she sells a rift that you can use to get closer to all the action.
More importantly, you can buy the Shadow Tracker pistol from her. Shooting an enemy with one will mark them for you and your teammates to see. While it doesn’t last forever, it does give you the upper hand on them in battle.
3/10 Surrr Burger
You can find the noblest of knights Surrr Burger in Anvil Springs selling an exotic weapon of his own. The Dub. The game lives up to its name as it’s a double-barrel shotgun that does an insane amount of damage to enemies. If you get your shots off with it, you’ll be winning matches in no time at all.
Surrr Burger also has a bit of stealth behind him as he also allows you to turn into a prop, for a price of course. Considering that Anvil Springs is a new location that a lot of people want to explore, it wouldn’t hurt to turn into a chair or a barrel occasionally.
2/10 Wildcard
What Wildcard sells is somewhat fitting of his name. He sells an exotic weapon called the Unstable Bow. It’s a Primal Bow, but of every single variety. This bow will randomly shoot either a flame, stink, explosion, or shockwave arrow. It’s unpredictable what will come from it, which is good for keeping your enemy on their toes.
Wildcard also sells the new weapon added in Chapter 4 which is the “Ex-Caliber Rifle” which acts as a long-range rifle that uses shotgun ammo. If fires a sword that does damage and explodes on impact. Both of these weapons in your arsenal will send foes running in the opposite direction.
1/10 Omega Knight
Omega Knight might be one of the best NPCs to visit this season. One of the items that he sells is the Shockwave Hammer, a new weapon that was added in Chapter 4. This hammer can destroy any building in sight in an instant. It launches enemies pretty far and does a decent amount of damage.
Not only that but the hammer itself has a feature that lets you bounce around the map getting you to places fast. Omega Knight also sells a Port-A-Bunker which can create a mini bunker for protection. You can find him in a village southwest of Slappy Shores.
