The studio behind I Am Jesus Christ has released an official trailer for the game’s upcoming prologue which will be released this December, ahead of the main game’s release next year. In it, we get to see the events leading up to Christ’s birth and the events following shortly after.

The trailer begins by recanting Luke 1:1, showing a village on a riverside before switching to the first-person perspective of a person who may be one of Christ’s followers. A deep bellowing voice is then heard from a great ball of light, detailing the Son of God’s arrival.

The video then shows the character, presumably Jesus Christ, using some sort of holy power to move wooden beams across a bridge. Holy powers are a big feature in this trailer. Unless the game includes Jesus giving his disciples powers, we can assume all the abilities on display were Christ’s. While Jesus does have a litany of powers at his disposal, another shot of the trailer shows us that he can run out of his Holy Spirit energy, with the prodigal son needing to head to prayer sites to get more.

The prologue trailer shows Jesus also being able to turn invisible, a power he uses to sneak around a wedding, turning water into wine. The Son of God also uses a ball of light to catch fish, which may sound strange, but this is a video game based on Jesus Christ after all.

The trailer then closes out with a voice pleading for the life of their child. The camera follows this voice, ending up at a house with a parent kneeling over their sick child. Jesus is then transported inside this child’s body where he heals them — from the inside.

I Am Jesus Christ is a game that has baffled many. When it was first announced, most fans weren’t even sure it was a real game. Well, it is, and it’s taking a historical view of Jesus Christ’s time on earth. The game’s Steam page details that the game will take a look at each and every major moment of Christ’s life, from his birth to his resurrection. One of the trailers even features Christ removing the boulder from his tomb, presumably before ascending to Heaven.

The game will feature over 30 miracles for gamers to play through. I Am Jesus Christ also claims to have over 60 of Christ’s followers to interact with. The Steam page states that players will have many key moments to play through, including Christ’s famous last supper.
