10/10 Complete The Pokédex

Living throughout Paldea is an array of new and returning Pokémon. Locate and capture all 400 Pokémon to complete the Pokédex. Simply battling a new Pokémon isn’t enough; you will need to capture it to complete the Pokédex entry.

You can start filling in the Pokédex from the start of the game, but some entries will only be accessible at the end of the main story. Once you have completed the main story, you should go back through Paldea and locate any missing entries you have not yet completed.

9/10 Exchange Pokémon With Friends Or Surprise Trade

Trading with other Pokémon trainers is a great way to find new species and is the only way to complete your Pokédex. Get together with your friends and exchange these rare Pokémon, or trade with a random trainer online for a Surprise Trade.

In a Surprise Trade, you select a Pokémon that you are willing to part with. Then, you will automatically be paired with someone else online and obtain one of their Pokémon. But be aware – you won’t know which Pokémon you are getting until after the trade is complete.

8/10 Explore All Of Paldea

Climb to the tallest peak, dive into the darkest caves, and chat with the friendly people of Paldea. The world of Pokémon Scarlet & Violet is filled with numerous towns, local residents, and secret areas.

Unless you have meticulously searched every nook and cranny of the continent during your main story playthrough, you are bound to have missed some of its magic. Once you have beaten the main story, you will be equipped with new movement abilities that will make traversing Paldea much easier and even more exciting.

7/10 Collect Every TM

To craft new TMs, you will need to find or earn TM materials along your journey. By using TMs, you can customize your Pokémon to be their best. This can be a fun and interesting way to make your Pokémon lineup have all the tools you need to battle even the best trainers in Paldea.

6/10 Battle The Other Trainers Of Paldea

Try finding every Pokémon trainer that is adventuring out in the wilderness of Paldea and challenge them to a friendly Pokémon battle. Along your journey through Paldea, you will find other trainers that are also uncovering the secrets of Pokémon. These trainers will challenge you to a Pokémon battle to test your strength.

Winning a battle against another trainer will earn your Pokémon a large number of experience points and provide you with material rewards as well. Some trainers will be traveling on the roads in Paldea, while others will be harder to locate.

5/10 Find All Gimmighoul Coins

If you manage to collect all of the Gimmighoul Coins, you can evolve the chest-form Pokémon Gimmighoul into Gholdengo. Strewn throughout Paldea, hiding in dark corners and in plain sight, are Roaming Form Gimmighoul. These tiny creatures have a Gimmighoul Coin that they will offer you as a reward for finding them.

Although many of the Roaming Form Gimmighoul are easy to spot, there will also be some that are difficult to locate. Finding all of the Roaming Form Gimmighoul may take a while, but it’s a fun challenge with a rewarding conclusion.

4/10 Compete In Tera Battles

Join 3 other trainers and take on a powerful Terastallized Pokémon as a group in Tera Battles. Some Pokémon battles can’t be taken on alone, they need a team of trainers to be completed. Marked on your map, Tera Battles can be found in every region of Paldea and appear as a crystal in the world.

Interact with these crystals to form a team, or access the Tera Raid Battle interface through the options menu. Battle with your fellow trainers in this coop mode and even capture the Pokémon if you manage to defeat it.

3/10 Form The Best Pokémon Team

2/10 Challenge Trainers In Online Battles

Through the Poké Portal, you can battle other trainers online in Casual Battles, Ranked Battles, and Online Competitions. Casual Battles allow players to compete in a friendly, stress-free environment. Ranked Battles allow trainers to climb the ranks and compete for standings in the online leaderboards.

These modes can be played with a single Pokémon at a time or in a 2v2 format where 2 Pokémon are on the battlefield for each trainer. If you want to test your strength as a Pokémon trainer, try borrowing a Rental Team and battle using a lineup that another trainer has shared online.

1/10 Inspect The Gyms As A Champion

Now that you’ve conquered Victory Road by defeating every gym leader, you are now a Pokémon Champion. After you complete the rest of the main story, Director Clavell will instruct you to inspect the gyms again. On your second visit to each gym, the gym leaders will greet you as a returning champion.

Since you have already proven yourself as a Pokémon master, they won’t go easy on you anymore. These return visits will be a harder challenge than the first time and will be in line with the difficulty of other end-game content.
