Square Enix has released the official benchmark software for Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail. Thanks to the benchmark, we can test how the graphical update will perform on our PCs, which will arrive with the Dawntrail expansion.
Through this benchmark, we can import one of our characters or create one to explore various areas in real-time. Many players have already tried it, and there are quite interesting results. After all, update 7.0 will come with graphical updates, among other things. So, it’s not just a content expansion, but also a graphical and technical overhaul.
The benchmark software allows us to create a character or import an existing one to appear in the real-time scenes of the benchmark. In addition to the existing playable races, in the character creation section, we can create female Hrothgar, a new playable race debuting with Dawntrail. It is possible to save the appearance data of the characters created in the benchmark to use them in the PC version of the game.
In the latest Letter from the Producer LIVE broadcast, producer and director Naoki Yoshida also commented on the news and changes coming with the release of Dawntrail, in addition to the results of the recent 10th-anniversary survey conducted with the players.
The FINAL FANTASY XVI crossover mission, titled “The Path Infernal,” is available until Wednesday, May 8th. Those who complete the missions can receive various FINAL FANTASY XVI themed rewards in the game.
FINAL FANTASY XIV Online is now available for Xbox Series X|S, so more players from the Xbox family of consoles can join the Warriors of Light in Eorzea and beyond. Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers can claim a Starter Edition through Xbox Game Pass benefits until April 19th, which includes A Realm Reborn™, Heavensward™, and Stormblood™ equivalent to three full FINAL FANTASY titles.
