This week’s Final Fantasy 14 weekly reset allowed players to finally play dress-up with Ameliance, one of the game’s most popular NPCs. As part of a quest-line which sees you delivering items to her to assist in the education of refugees, Ameliance eventually requests clothing. This is the in-universe reasoning for something that has been true in the majority of these sorts of quests in the past – allowing for the equipping of NPCs in player gear.
As you can imagine, the fiends of the FF14 community were immediately excited upon finding out this would be the case for the mother of Alphinaud and Alisaie, two of the game’s most popular characters. She even requests in dialogue that something to make her husband “blush” would be excellent.
This has, of course, led to plenty of bunny girl outfits, summer dresses and the like, as well as a few funnier and sometimes even less lewd options. Let’s take a look.
Here’s the standard which everyone expected and received. There were plenty of responses to that too. This isn’t real but it should be. There’s lots (and lots, and lots, and lots) on the same theme, if you’re, ahem, intrigued.
There are also those who chose to get Ameliance a little more battle-ready. Here she is in the recently-added PvP only armor set. Another with her ready to protect her family at all costs, and yet more where ‘red’ was the theme of the day.
There is then the remaining two sub-genres of FF14 glamors – comfy and weird. On the former there’s also sorts of mom-drip and the latter is mostly horse costumes and fish. There’s even the odd wedding dress.
It takes all sorts to make an MMO.
