Eurovision fans baffled by Rebecca Ferguson’s ‘toilet roll’ appearance | TV & Radio | Showbiz & TV
Liverpudlian Rebecca Ferguson took to the stage on Tuesday evening after 15 Eurovision Song Contest entries performed for a place in this Saturday’s final.
The 36-year-old X Factor finalist belted out Ordinary World by Duran Duran in an extremely ruffled orange dress which was strapless.
The gown was floor-length with a lengthy train and covered from top to bottom in mesh tulle.
Rebecca paired the daring dress with dangling earrings and wore her hair in a slicked-back ponytail.
She performed the song alongside Ukrainian singer Alyosha who opted for a more subtle outfit than Rebecca.

The Ukrainian singer had a pink and navy blazer dress on as she performed to millions of viewers across the globe.
The audience burst into applause following their beautiful rendition of the Duran Duran ballad, but many viewers were left distracted by Rebecca’s outfit, comparing her to a vintage toilet roll cosy.
@Padja1 tweeted: “Rebecca Ferguson hiding all the toilet rolls she hoarded during lockdown.”

Despite the backlash, other viewers adored Rebecca’s outfit and hearing her sing live.

Heather remarked: “Rebecca Ferguson deserves such a huge career, I’m so glad she’s getting to do this tonight #eurovision.”
The Eurovision Song Contest 2023 final airs on Saturday on BBC One at 8pm.
