Emmerdale’s Gabby star speaks out on break from village before ‘chaotic’ return | TV & Radio | Showbiz & TV
Gabby Thomas (played by Rosie Bentham) was all set to walk down the aisle with Nicky Milligan (Lewis Cope) but was left heartbroken on her wedding day when he revealed he was gay.
Feeling rejected and lonely, upcoming scenes on Emmerdale will see Gabby turn her attention to Billy Fletcher (Jay Kontzle) who is expecting a baby with Dawn Taylor (Olivia Bromley).
Billy rejected Gabby’s advances, leaving her feel even more embarrassed.
Next week she decides to get away from the village and heads to Portugal for a holiday with son Thomas.
Gabby may be hoping she can return refreshed but actress Rosie has warned things will be more “chaotic”.
Rosie explained: “There’s the anniversary of Liv Dingle’s death on the horizon, and that’s difficult for Gabby, as Liv was her best mate.
“Gabby has a lot on her plate and the next few months are chaotic.”
She added Gabby will “come to regret” trying to kiss Billy explaining she is “completely lost”.
Addressing why Gabby was keen for attention, Rosie continued to Digital Spy: “She’s seeking validation from any man and it reaches the point where she decides to leave for a break in Portugal; she needs to reset.
“I feel really sorry for [her] – heartbreak can be long and tedious but she knows that she needs to get it all out. The tears need to come.”
Will Gabby be able to get her life back on track for the sake of her son?
She’s certainly not had an easy time living up at Home Farm after falling for Jamie Tate (Alexander Lincoln) and having his child.
After that heartbreak she suffered even more due to Caleb Milligan’s (Will Ash) plans to ruin Kim Tate by getting caught up with Nicky.
Perhaps on her return from Portugal, Gabby will turn to her mother Bernice Blackstock (Samantha Giles) for guidance before her exit.
Unfortunately, Bernice hasn’t been very lucky in love herself so she may not even be able to help Gabby.
