Emmerdale viewers fear beloved character’s put behind bars after horror crash | TV & Radio | Showbiz & TV

Nicola King (played by Nicola Wheeler) was driving her daughter Angel King (Rebecca Bakes) to the dentist on the latest episode of Emmerdale but the pair kept arguing.

It was clear Nicola’s attention was not fully on the road, and when she reached a junction she didn’t see Moira Barton (Natalie J Robb) approaching in her Land Rover.

The women collided at the junction, but they both got off unscathed despite the impact.

However, young Angel was left bleeding and unconscious in the back of Nicola’s car which caused her mother to panic.

Nicola snapped at Moira as she urged her to call for an ambulance to take Angel to the hospital.

Luckily, veterinarian Tom King (James Chase) rushed to the scene and tried to keep Angel warm as they waited for the paramedics to arrive.

Angel regained consciousness later on to the relief of her worried parents, but fans were left fearing what would happen to Moira in the wake of the crash.

Moira has been struggling financially on the ITV soap and she’s had to sell some of her beloved farmland.

She also has sky-high veterinary bills and might have to fork out some money if she is to blame for the crash.

To add to her list of problems, Nicola told the police Moira was speeding – so is there a chance she might end up in prison?

Emmerdale viewers took to Twitter with their theories. Pam said: “Oh dear. Moira’s already strapped for cash, she owes the vet bill and now she’ll need to fork out for a new land rover and Nicola will be having her in court to boot #Emmerdale.”

Uncle Buck added: “Hasn’t Moira already had an accident in #Emmerdale where she ran someone over?”

Jamie said: “Nicola pulled out without looking properly. But she’ll play the victim while Moira goes through more hell #Emmerdale.”

Danni fumed: “Omg Nicola telling the police Moira was obviously speeding. You pulled out and couldn’t see what was coming #Emmerdale.”

Swalk penned: “That’s Moira being sued then on top of all her other woes!! #Emmerdale.”

Jay raged: “#Emmerdale is winding me up again. The police can clearly see that Nicola pulled out of the junction but blame Moira who had right of way. Sometimes I just want to slap scriptwriters for treating us like clueless kids.” (sic)

Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV and ITVX.
