Emmerdale heartbreak as Mack Boyd rejects Chloe and tries to rekindle with Charity | TV & Radio | Showbiz & TV

Mack Boyd (played by Lawrence Robb) was unfaithful to Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) with Chloe Harris (Jessie Elland) on Emmerdale, with the latter giving birth to their child earlier this year.

Charity dumped Mack once the secret came out, and he has been growing closer to Chloe and their son Reuben in recent weeks.

In upcoming scenes, Mack continues to assure Chloe he’s over Charity but she’s conflicted when he asks to spend the day with her.

Feelings bubble as Mack and Chloe return from their day trip and the pair head upstairs.

The following day, when Mack appears keen to embrace their situation, Chloe does her best to disguise her delight.

However, she’s soon left frustrated when Mack’s reluctant to tell Charity about their romance.

All hell breaks loose when Charity reveals she’s slept with Caleb Milligan (Will Ash) at The Woolpack.

An extremely jealous and upset Mack squares up to Caleb – and it’s clear the Scotsman still has feelings for Charity.

Chloe’s evidently hurt by Mack’s reaction and she offers him an ultimatum: her or Charity. Who will Mack choose?

Mack thought Charity was the love of his life but she couldn’t stomach him after learning about his sordid affair.

Would Charity be willing to get back together with Mack on the ITV soap or will she start a romance with Caleb?

Charity actress Emma spoke to Express.co.uk earlier this year about the affair storyline.

She explained: “Everyone always says happy endings don’t make the drama.

“So do you kind of sort of feel a little bit sorry for Charity that she’s going through this heartache.”

Rob actor Lawrence said of his character’s emotions: “He definitely wants to be with Charity.

“I think initially, his priority would be trying to get Charity back. But he very quickly realizes it’s not in the cards initially.”

Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV and ITVX.
