Emmerdale fans ‘work out’ Caleb Milligan’s true identity after Cain Dingle betrayal | TV & Radio | Showbiz & TV

Emmerdale newcomer Caleb Milligan (played by Will Ash) instantly ruffled the feathers of Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) when he arrived in the village last year. Caleb has remained a mystery to the villagers as no one knows what he does for a living or whether he has a family of his own. At first, he seemed whiter than white as he tried to help both Cain and Kyle Winchester (Huey Quinn) following the death of Al Chapman (Michael Wildman).

Viewers also saw a different side to him when he rubbed Will Taylor (Dean Andrews) up the wrong way

However, in Tuesday’s episode, Caleb gave some advice to Leyla Harding (Roxy Shahidi) after she landed herself in more trouble with drug dealer Callum (Tom Astley).

As Leyla sat crying on a bench, Caleb approached her to ask what was wrong.

“Are you ok?” he asked as Leyla replied: “Yeah, I’m fine.”

“He put my best friend in hospital yesterday, he tried to kill my son and now I think he wants to kill me.

“He keeps picking us off one by one and I am doing my best not to be scared.”

“I think we need a proper chat, don’t you?” Caleb told her.

Following the episode, fans took to social media in droves to share their thoughts on the storyline.

Many questioned why Caleb was giving advice to Leyla, pointing to the suggestion he was an undercover copper.

Others seem to think he could be connected to newcomer and drug dealer, Callum.

But, how will Cain react when he discovers his brother has lied about who he is for all this time?
