In upcoming scenes on Emmerdale, Wendy Posner (played by Susan Cookson) will do all she can to try and prove herself to Bob Hope (Tony Audenshaw).

Bob was devastated when Wendy confessed to sleeping with Dr Liam Cavanagh (Johnny McPherson) but he himself had been trying not to act on his chemistry with Bernice Blackstock (Samantha Giles).

The pair put all their cards on the table and came clean about how they felt about their romance.

Wendy is determined to put their tumultuous period behind them and mend their romance but Bob feels differently.

Soon, Wendy realises Bob is purposely avoiding her, leaving her devastated.

Meanwhile, Bernice tells Bob to stop acting childishly and warns him to reciprocate Wendy’s affection or risk losing her.

Official soap spoilers reveal a confusion at the surgery makes matters worse.

Can Bob and Wendy heal their relationship or will Bob accompany Bernice when she leaves the village?

While Wendy is determined to repair her romance with Bob, Liam wants Wendy to continue their affair.

He tried to persuaded the nurse to make a go of things with him but she refused.

If Bob gives up on their romance, perhaps Wendy will try to rekindle her romance with Liam.

Elsewhere in the village, Dan Spencer (Lima Fox) and Amelia (Daisy Campbell) decide to go on the run and flee to Ireland.

Dan protests but realises how stressed Amelia is at the thought of losing him to prison when she almost hurts baby Esther by accident.

Seeing his daughter’s fear and being overwhelmingly scared of prison, Dan comes round to the idea of running away.

The next day, desperate Dan corners Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) and asks for help to flee the country.

Cain agrees and soon Dan confirms to Amelia their escape plan will go ahead but reminding her she cannot tell anyone including Noah.

Amelia’s scared but determined to do this with her father.

Later, Cain presents Dan and Amelia with ferry tickets, an old car and a burner phone for their escape to Ireland.

Everything is suddenly very real for the father and daughte, and they share a sad smile about leaving Emmerdale and set off as a three.

But have they made the right decision and should Dan face the music for his one punch misdemeanour?

Emmerdale airs weeknights on ITV at 7.30pm.
