Elden Ring Fallingstar Beast Jaw Build Guide – Gravity God

In this Elden Ring Quality guide, I’ll be showing you my Gravity God build. This is a level 150 Quality build that uses predominantly Strength and Dexterity with a little bit of Intelligence to absolutely annihilate enemies and bosses at range.

Elden Ring Fallingstar Beast Jaw Build Guide – Gravity God

A melee build that uses a ranged weapon ability to stagger and deal fantastic damage while remaining safely.

We have over 110 Elden Ring Builds now, for all classes and playstyles. This Build is recommended for Level 150.

Elden Ring Fallingstar Beast Jaw Build – Equipment and Mechanics

In order to do that, we’ll use the weapon Fallingstar Beast Jaw, which is a colossal weapon that scales off these stats. It has a fantastic weapon ability called Gravity Bolt. Gravity Bolt looks and operates similarly to the Ash of War: Thunderbolt, except that it does so in an AoE and does predominantly physical damage. It has one other benefit that Thunderbolt doesn’t have, and that is that it staggers enemies and bosses very easily by chain-spamming this spell over and over. You can basically stun-lock bosses in some cases, or even players and enemies. They don’t really have a chance to react. This ability also does a small AoE around it, so you can use it on a pack of enemies to stagger them all at once. If a boss likes to dodge, they can’t dodge fast enough to get out of the AoE, and you’ll still clip them with damage anyway.

Gravity Bolt’s damage seems to increase with points into Strength, Dexterity, and Intelligence. However, Strength and Dexterity seem to do about the same amount of increased damage of it, which leans toward the physical side. Intelligence does badly, as the weapon scales terribly with Intelligence. There isn’t a way to get much more magic damage out of this build, so I don’t recommend worrying about Intelligence or trying to increase the magic damage of this ability.

You can actually take something like the Magic Scorpion Charm, throw it on, and test it. You’ll notice that your damage is only like 20 or 30 points higher than it would be without it, which is terrible increase in damage. It’s definitely not 10%. Also, one negative of using this charm is that you actually take more damage. There isn’t a benefit to using that, which is why I don’t use that in this build.

Magic Scorpion Charm

There are ways in which you can increase the damage of Gravity Bolt. Shard of Alexander increases attack power by 15%, and Ritual Sword Talisman increases overall damage by 10%. You can also use Flame, Grant Me Strength to increase your damage by another 20%, as Gravity Bolt is predominantly physical damage. Otherwise, just putting points into Strength and Dexterity and using equipment that increases those attributes is going to be the way to boost your overall damage.

Shard of Alexander

Besides that, I use a seal in my left hand in order to use Flame, Grant Me Strength. You’re not going to use this all the time, since you don’t really need it. It’ll be situationally good for bosses. I use the Frenzied Flame Seal here just because it weighs nothing, so it doesn’t add anything to my equip load. I don’t even have it upgraded as you don’t need to do that for this.

Frenzied Flame Seal

There are no other weapons or shield that I use with this build, but theoretically, you could add a shield to this build since you have a lot of Strength. If you wanted to use a greatshield, Fallingstar Beast Jaw would be a great weapon to do it with because you can one-hand the weapon. It doesn’t change the damage that the ability does, so you can use a greatshield. Keep in mind that your equip load will be significantly higher, so you might need to put something in your talisman slot to increase your equip load.

When it comes to armor, I’m using the Okina Mask to increase my Dexterity by +3. It increases my overall damage and Gravity Bolt’s damage, but you could use other helmets that increase your Strength. You really just want something here that increases your Strength or Dexterity in order to increase your overall damage.

Okina Mask

I have the Raptor’s Black Feathers for my chest piece, as it increases my jump attack damage by 10%. I don’t really do a lot of jump attacks in this build, but I just find it as a nice little boost to damage when I do. For the other two pieces, I basically use the heaviest I can get away with in order to medium roll.

Elden Ring Fallingstar Beast Jaw Build – Talismans

Besides the Shard of Alexander and Ritual Sword Talisman, I also use Carrion Filigreed Crest as one of my talismans. This reduces the cost of Gravity Bolt, as you’re going to spam it. I like it over Ancestral Spirit’s Horn because sometimes, you need to cast it twice to kill an enemy. That’s going to save you 6 FP, compared to Ancestral Spirit’s Horn’s 3 FP after killing an enemy. A lot of times in boss fights, you just spam this. It’s going to save you 3 FP every spam, which outweighs the Ancestral Spirit’s Horn.

Carrion Filigreed Crest

For the fourth slot, I kind of use whatever I want depending on the situation. The Dragoncrest Greatshield Talisman is great for giving you better defenses. You can also use the Green Turtle Talisman here to help you regenerate stamina faster. You could even use Ancestral Spirit’s Horn here to make the weapon ability’s cost even cheaper, although I don’t think that’s necessary.

Dragoncrest Greatshield Talisman

There are a lot of good utility talismans you could use, as there’s nothing that’s going to boost your damage substantially. You could use Radagon’s Soreseal to boost your damage, but you’re going to take more damage, which I think you don’t really need. You’re killing things based on the stagger, not necessarily the damage, but that is an option as well.

Elden Ring Fallingstar Beast Jaw Build – Gameplay

Generally, you’re going to be running around on the landscape, and you’re going to use your weapon ability 90% of the time. It just hits anything, as it has really good range. You need to keep a line of sight on the target in order to cast it, just like Thunderbolt. If you’re near something when you cast it, and the enemy gets staggered, you can go in for a critical strike, so you can get all your FP back. You’d be able to kill regular enemies with just two casts of this, so it’s effective for 10 FP.

In this build, you have plenty of FP flasks, as you never take any damage. You can add more FP flasks if you need because you’re just going to kill enemies from range before they can get to you. You can stagger tough enemies while they’re moving towards you, because the tracking of Gravity Bolt is just way too good and it has an AoE.

You almost never get hit with this build. The only time I feel like I get hit is during boss fights, where the boss is really huge and it’s hard to keep track of what their attacks are. I also get hit in fights where there’s lots of ranged enemies and I have to get close to them in order to cast Gravity Bolt.

A lot of times, you can stun-lock enemies, like Crucible Knights. You can guard break them by spamming your ability, knocking them down. They’ll never be able to get up. A lot of bosses, like the Fire Giant, goes down if you hit their ankle as its weak. They’ll hold on to their ankle, so you can spam Gravity Bolt a couple more times until it they fall down. You can skip almost all of phase one without him ever hitting you, as long as you can get through the first initial attack. This spell is really devastating against enemies with weak points, as they’ll get staggered until they die. For bosses such as Godskin Duo, you can use the Stonebarb Cracked Tear, and they’ll get staggered in two shots.

If you want to take this build towards level 200, I would continue increasing Strength and Dexterity. These attributes seem to keep adding decent damage, so you could probably get those up to around 80 and still get damage. You can also put a few points towards Faith, then use Golden Vow to buff Gravity Bolt’s damage even more. I would probably take the stats in this build closer to 60 Strength and Dexterity before you add points towards Faith. That way, the scaling is pretty good at this point so you’re not going to need buffs yet.

One of the things I really love about this build compared to others is that you don’t have to constantly buff yourself. You just run around, hit your L2, and enemies die. You don’t even have to get close to them, so it’s a very easy way of playing. It’s a very fun build to play in that sense. As far as NG+ and further, I don’t know how much more damage you’re going to be able to get out of this ability. You can probably get 200 or 300 more damage from Strength and Dexterity, even 400 with Golden Vow. You’re really going to lean towards the stagger mechanic of Gravity Bolt, so you could probably find a way to increase your critical strikes once you stagger the enemy as you progress through the game.

Elden Ring Fallingstar Beast Jaw Build – Attributes

For this build, I have: 40 Vigor, 25 Mind, 25 Endurance, 54 Strength, 44 Dexterity, 20 Intelligence, 15 Faith, and 9 Arcane.

40 Vigor is just enough to make sure that you don’t die. You actually have pretty good defenses, particularly if you’re using the Dragoncrest Greatshield Talisman. You shouldn’t die very easily with this build, as nothing ever really gets too close to you anyway. You don’t need a lot of Vigor, you could probably even take points out of Vigor and still be fine.

25 Mind would give you enough FP to play around with Gravity Bolt. It doesn’t cost a lot of FP, you could probably full 5 points out of Mind and still do just fine. You don’t really have to worry about your FP at all.

Endurance is at 25 not only to give you equip weight to wear heavy armor, but also to give you some stamina to spam L2. Spamming L2 during boss fights drain your stamina fast, so having extra Endurance here is good. Gravity Bolt having so much stagger means you don’t really have to deal maximum damage out of each cast, so you can do pretty even with extra points in Endurance.

54 Strength and 44 Dexterity there for damage. 54 Strength is pretty much the point where you got the most bang for your buck in terms of damage, it starts to fall off after that. Dexterity is still going strong, so I recommend putting points in Dexterity first before going into Strength from this point, then getting both up together.

20 Intelligence is there to meet the requirements of the weapon. We don’t really need more of this, as the weapon we’re using has terrible Intelligence scaling. It doesn’t really do much for your weapon ability. We also won’t be needing Arcane.

15 Faith is just there to meet the requirements of Flame, Grant Me Strength so you can buff yourself for 20% increased physical damage.

Elden Ring Fallingstar Beast Jaw Build – Final Tips

If you’re using the Flask of Wondrous Physick for this build, you’re going to want to use the Stonebarb Cracked Tear here in order to increase the Poise damage you deal with Gravity Bolt. This will allow you to knock down some bosses in two shots, allowing you to get off to a devastating start and wrecking bosses really fast. You can also use either Strength-knot Crystal Tear or Dexterity-knot Crystal Tear to further boost your damage.
