In upcoming scenes on EastEnders distraught Keanu Taylor (played by Danny Walters) desperately seeks ways to get his daughter Peggy Mitchell Jr back.

Martin Fowler (James Bye), on the other hand, warns Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) that Keanu has approached Eve Unwin’s (Heather Peace) friend to start a legal battle against Lisa Fowler (Lucy Benjamin) to get Peggy.

Later, Keanu is heartbroken to hear that unless Peggy is in the country, he’ll have to fight through the Portuguese courts, which could take years.

A broken Keanu goes to see his mum Karen Taylor (Lorraine Stanley), who puts the idea in his head that someone in the house helped Lisa.

He’s convinced it’s Martin and throws him out onto the street.

Will Keanu ever be reunited with his young daughter on the BBC soap?

Peggy was taken away from Keanu after returning to Walford with her grandmother Lisa.

Lisa returned to Albert Square hellbent on revenge after more than three years away from the area.

Fans will remember Keanu cheated on his current fiancé Sharon, so Lisa played on his guilt to extort money from him in exchange for access to Peggy.

But Lisa has a huge gambling problem which appears to be taking over her life and clouding her judgement.

Keanu actor Danny recently opened up to Radio Times about the tense storyline with Lisa.

He said: “He’s really upset, and he’s very angry with Lisa, the fact that she used Peggy as collateral damage for her own issues, really.”

“Lisa [has been] blackmailing Keanu, and so she’s using Peggy as collateral really and to get into Keanu’s emotional…

“Keanu, being led by emotions, [was] really in a bit of a predicament whether he [paid] to see his daughter again.”

EastEnders airs Mondays to Thursdays at 7.30pm on ITV and ITVX.
