Eamonn Holmes and his GB News co-host Isabel Webster spoke with former Met Police detective Jon Taylor on Wednesday to discuss the use of police powers over the Coronation weekend.
Leaders of the anti-monarchy group Republic were among those arrested by police on Saturday.
The officers on duty seized items that they believed could be used as lock-on devices.
However, before speaking with their GB News guest, Eamonn took the opportunity to mock the protestors who got arrested.
This led Isabel to shut her co-star down telling him: “We know your views.”

The former This Morning presenter began: “Rishi Sunak has defended police powers used during the Coronation despite backlash over the treatment of those poor wee protesters who were in the back of the van and were arrested.”
“Eamonn,” Isabel weighed in as she attempted to put a halt to Eamonn’s rant.
The 63-year-old sarcastically continued: “Their day was spoiled…they would have had their deck chairs, their bunting all ready to sit there and those nasty policemen took them away and then spoiled their little protest…I mean their little celebration is going on.”
Shutting down her co-star, Isabel sighed: “We know your views.”
She quickly moved the segment on by introducing Jon, who appeared via video link.
Isabel said: “The Public Order Act allows officers to stop and set anyone on suspicion and planning to cause disruptions.
“Let’s speak to former Met Police Detective Jon Taylor.
“Those are Eamonn’s views, what are your views on the arrest of specifically the six that hadn’t done anything and didn’t have anything…”
“Haven’t done anything yet…” Eamonn interrupted as Isabel replied: “Very interesting point.”
Sharing his thoughts on the arrests, Jon explained: “I’m pretty similar in many ways, and it was nice to see Commissioner Rowley come out and say it was unfortunate, that’s his word.
“And I sort of agree with it because when he does start to look at the new powers that were put in place… they’re actually used very effectively and very correctly.
“And what a lot of people will be upset about, especially the protesters, is that they weren’t given the chance to protest when a lot were.”
