Eamonn Holmes confirms GB News break as he shares operation bombshell: ‘Going to miss you’ | TV & Radio | Showbiz & TV

On Monday morning’s Breakfast on Eamonn and Isabel on GB News, hosts Eamonn Holmes and Isabel Webster were bringing the latest headlines and topics to viewers. However, during their discussion, Eamonn shared that he won’t be on the show next week following an operation.

Following one of the show’s ad breaks, Isabel welcomed back viewers as she asked how everybody was feeling this Monday morning.

Although Eamonn at first said he was doing well, his co-star shared that she heard him sighing prior which prompted him to delve into what’s really going on.

He revealed that actually, he wasn’t doing very well as Isabel questioned how bad he was.

Eamonn admitted: “I’m so bad I’m going to have an operation on Wednesday.”

The 62-year-old has suffered from chronic back pain after a dislocated pelvis led to three slipped discs. 

Earlier this year, fans saw the host step down from his presenting duties after receiving hospital treatment because of his condition.

Addressing his absence back in June, he shared a statement which said: “Many of you have been asking why I haven’t been presenting GB News for the past week.

“Unfortunately, due to a reoccurrence of a long-term back condition, I’ve had to undergo some unexpected hospital treatment and am now following Doctor’s orders by taking a short time off.”
