Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford’s Channel 5 show has been axed with the GB News host confirming “the series fell victim to the pandemic”.
How The Other Half Lives saw the couple traveling around the world where they met multimillionaires and billionaires as they went about their daily activities of driving fast cars, travelling by private jet and going to exclusive parties.
The show ran for five series plus a Christmas special, but according to Eamonn, there are no current plans to revive the programme.
Confirming the news to The Sun, Eamonn said: “Sadly, the series fell victim to the pandemic – it was just impossible to get across the world to meet very rich people – and there are no plans to revive the series now.
“But I do feel privileged to have been a part of it and to have met people in parts of the world that are no longer accessible.”
He added: “We got to spend time with some extraordinary people, including a billionaire and his wife in Ukraine and some of the richest people in Moscow.”

The Channel 5 series saw the TV duo sipping on the world’s most expensive cocktails, and Eamonn even got to fly in a private jet.
During a previous appearance on Loose Women, the couple discussed what the show was about with Ruth’s co-stars.
“It was a pop-up supermarket basically for the rich… for the uber-rich in Chelsea which happens once a year,” Eamonn explained as Ruth chipped in: “I had never heard of it.
“You had to be uber-rich to be invited and everything you touched was worth thousands and thousands.”
When asked how it made them feel, Eamonn joked: “It made us feel like we shop in Lidl and Aldi.”
His wife explained: “We always thought we were doing alright, but then you meet this wealth beyond your wildest dreams. The kind of wealth where you never have to question what anything costs.”
The Loose Women star continued: “But actually I set out to do the show, thinking I probably wouldn’t like the people very much.
“I thought they were going to be arrogant, and they really weren’t and lots of them are self-made people.”
Eamonn went on: “It is about how they made their money, where the money comes from, how they spend it, and when you get a certain amount, why would you keep on working?”
