There are roughly six weeks left until FIFA 23 comes out. It’ll be the last game that Electronic Arts (EA) and Federation Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) work on together, so naturally, now is the time for more wild crossovers.

On Monday, EA announced the return of Marvel FUT Heroes cards in FIFA 23’s Ultimate Team mode. First seen in FIFA 22, FUT Hero cards will transform numerous legendary soccer players into superheroes, complete with comic book cover-like artwork by Marvel artists. Each illustration will commemorate every athlete’s career-defining moments too. Some of the players getting this treatment include Landon Donovan, Claudio Marchisio, Yaya Touré, and Park Ji-Sung. Take a look at some the covers below.

EA announced that these FUT Heroes cards will not be available until the World Cup mode for FIFA 23 releases on Nov. 11, 2022.

“Building on the introduction of FUT Heroes last year, we wanted to intersect the worlds of pop culture and sport by working with Marvel’s world-renowned artists and animators to create the ultimate crossover and generate unique Heroes artwork,” David Jackson, vice president of branding for EA Sports FIFA, said in a press release.

FIFA 23 is shaping up to be a big deal come release day on Sept. 30, 2022. Juventus FC is returning, HyperMotion2 works well, and even the grass looks good.
