Diablo IV beta queue issues being addressed, says Blizzard

The early access beta of the much anticipated Diablo IV launched a day ago, and to little surprise had some issues like just trying to get into the game to play.

Queues lasting multiple hours were listed by users, leading to frustration. Blizzard did take note of it and released a statement on the matter on their forums.

The developer stated they are actively working over the weekend to reduce queue times and improve stability for those suffering from disconnects after they’ve gotten into the Diablo IV beta.

To be clear, – our own staff have seen queues as short as 5-10 minutes, or sometimes nonexistent pending the time of day.

Here were the primary issues they listed as their first targets to fix:

  • Players are sometimes unable to join a party with other players while in-game.
  • Players that are dropped from a game receive an error that their party does not exist.
  • Rubberbanding occurring with players while transitioning between zones.
  • High RAM and GPU usage occurring on select hardware.

Their most recent update at the time of this writing were that they managed to shorten queue times. However, there was still an issue for console players being unable to progress in these queues. A new update from them is expected this afternoon.

Diablo IV is set to launch on June 6th, 2023 across Windows PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, and PS5.
