Delver, the Comixology Originals series from writers C. Spike Trotman and M.K. Reed, artist Clive Hawken, colorist Maarta Laiho, letterer Ed Dukeshire, and editor Kel McDonald, is finally set to return. The digital publisher has announced that Delver Season Two will arrive in a collected edition next Tuesday, June 28th, with Trotman taking over as solo writer for the newest volume. The digital release will be followed by a print release from Dark Horse Comics early next year.

Here’s how Comixology describes Delver Season Two:

Merit and Clem are back on the surface world in Oddgoat, but it’s looking less and less like the village Merit grew up in. There’s more strange looking Dungeon delvers arriving by the day, hacking and slashing involves a terrifying amount of paperwork, and an above-ground underground market for magic and monster parts quietly makes itself known. Meanwhile, the new magic academy wants to recruit Clem for completely non-nefarious purposes, they swear. Merit survived Dungeon, but surviving the workforce may be a lot trickier.

The new season of Delver was actually teased way back in 2019 at San Diego Comic Con, though what format it would come in – individual issues vs an all-at-once collection – remained to be seen at that time. The first season of the Comixology Originals series, which was co-written and co-created by M.K. Reed, was released digitally in 2019 as well, and came to print from Dark Horse in October of last year.

Check out a preview of Delver Season Two, as well as the cover for the print version, below. The digital collected edition arrives via Comixology next Tuesday; the print edition from Dark Horse Comics is due out on Tuesday, February 7th, 2023, and is available for preorder from Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and your local comic shop now.
