DC Universe Online reruns Spring Seasonal event with new items and adds a new ally in latest patch

The spring season is in full bloom across the heroic and villainous sides of DC Universe Online, as today marks the return of the Springtime Seasonal event, which is running between now and Wednesday, May 29th. And this year’s event is absolutely full of colorful rewards.

Players can enjoy springtime cosmetics like fairy wings, elf ears, a thematic new chroma pack, and a mushroom pet, or they can dress up their character’s base with an assortment of new natural decor items that include stone gates, waterfalls, a fae tree, or a chunky mushroom friend. As far as content, the activities are still the same as before, revolving around gathering seed pods placed by Poison Ivy and turning them in, though this year players need to be level 20 to participate.

Speaking of things that are green, DCUO players now have a new ally in the form of John Stewart of the Green Lantern Corps. This new ally character brings useful tricks like a hard light turret, an ability that replaces group shields with a more powerful Green Lantern-style shield, and a might-boosting ability.

Both the spring event and Green Lantern ally are both part of the MMORPG’s newest patch, which also includes some fixes to Sunstone Fortress, the Booster Gold vendor, and some of the October episode’s augments.
